Gerbrich Meijer (1997, The Netherlands) is an internationally active soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. She has won prizes in major competitions, including the Carl Nielsen International Clarinet Competition 2022, the London Symphony Orchestra – Keston Max prize and is the Dutch Classical Talent of 2023/24. In 2022 she made her debut at soloist with Camerata Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and was nominated for the Grachtenfestival award.
Invites as a soloist and chamber musician reach from the International festival of Janine Jansen, artist of the 2022 International Chamberfestival Schiermonnikoog and concerts for the NTIO in Taiwan. Gerbrich has been a guest at orchestras like Danish Radio, The Royal Danish Opera, Londen Symphony Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra. Currently she is pursuing her Soloist degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where she studies with Johnny Tessier.
Previously, Gerbrich studied at the prestigious Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles with Yehuda Gilad and obtained her bachelors degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in the class of John Kruse. Foundations such as Augustinusfonden, Idellafonden and Prins Bernard Culture Foundation have supported Gerbrich in pursuing her artistic mission.
