ilinx consists of three Danish composers and singers based in Copenhagen and Brussels. After years of studying electronic music production and composition, the group was born out of a desire to explore the human voice’s potential to create and foster human connections.
The three singers' backgrounds range from classical music to folk and r&b. Since their debut release Memory in 2020 the group has become an important part of the Danish experimental scene and played concerts around Europe, ranging from avantgarde festivals and vocal rituals, to supporting popular pop names - Bijloke, CHART ART fair, UNM, Alter festival, and as support for Danish hip-hop duo FRAADS.
On stage, ilinx creates an intimate space with an almost spiritual quality. Their shows are an exploration of the voice as a storyteller as well as primary corporal material. ilinx intertwines the traditional concert format with collaborative audience creation. Combining medieval choir music, adventurous improvisations and deconstructed R&B with inspirations from contemporary composition and experimental electronics, ilinx creates music that is as futuristic as it is traditional.
