Which work are you looking forward to playing the most at the festival, and why?
I am very much looking forward to playing Schubert’s String Quintet with NOVO. It has been one of my favourite pieces since I was little, and it is always an absolute joy to play.
Which historical person would you like to meet the most, and what would you talk to them about?
I would love to have a lovely boozy evening with Judy Garland. I would ask her all sorts of things about her legendary career and bore her with my unceasing admiration for her voice and acting. We would continue by getting absolutely inebriated and loudly singing “The Man That Got Away”.
What‘s the best part about playing together with others?
There is something intoxicating about the connection one feels while breathing and making music with others musicians; and if that is not a convincing enough answer, it is always nice to have someone else to blame for one’s own mistakes.
